TALL FESCUE

Tall Fescue has a moderate growth habit and dark green good looks.  Preferred by landscape contractors, Tall Fescue is bred for low maintenance performance, and remains THE BEST CHOICE FOR HOMEOWNER USE.  Tall Fescue should be mowed to a height of 2 1/2 inches.

 DWARF FESCUE

Dwarf-Type has the same basic qualities as the tall fescue.  The primary difference is that, over time, it develops a more lateral growth habit, and can be mowed to a height of 1 1/2 inches.  NOTE:  FREQUENCY OF MOWING IS THE SAME AS TALL FESCUE.

 TIFGREEN

Available April through October.  Tifway Bermuda is a most desirable turf for home yards, sports fields and golf course fairways in Southern California.  It likes full sun and does not do well in shade.  Tifway should be kept at 1/4 to 1/2 inch in height.  It is a drought resistant grass.  It does have a winter dormancy period, which is minimal for coastal areas.  This dormancy period may be over come by over-seeding with a rye grass seed.  Note:  A front throw mower (reel type) should be used for cutting.
